ART

April 5-May 3, 40th annual Town and Country Art Show, comprised of art works produced by kindergarten through high school students in both Warren and Henderson county schools, Buchanan Center for the Arts, 64 Public Square, Monmouth. Opening: April 5 at 2 p.m., judging will take place prior to the opening and awards given on opening day beginning around 2:30 p.m. Exhibition hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. April 3, Art Classes for students in grades 1-8, 5-week session on Thursdays beginning April 3. April 4, Unused/Expired Medicine Drop Off at Wal-Mart Supercenter, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Bring in unused or expired medicine for proper disposal; keep medicines in original containers if possible. Acceptable items include unused/expired prescription medicines, prescription cough medicines, prescription eye drops, prescription inhalers and mercury thermometers.

April 5, KCCDD's 3rd annual Auction, Knox College Lincoln Room. April 5, Work day at Blackthorn Hill Nature Preserve, beginning at 8 a.m., 1590 Angling Road, Alexis. Volunteers needed to help clean up and trim limbs in the activity area, clear brush, tear out fence, remove fence posts, cut out thorn trees.
