GALESBURG - Donald Owcarz, 55, Galesburg, formerly of LaSalle, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday (April 18, 2006) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

He was born Sept. 30, 1950, in Peru, the son of John and Lillian Walker Owcarz.

He married Joann Appel in Ottawa.

Surviving are his mother of LaSalle; a daughter, Amanda McGuire; three sisters, Edith Owcarz, Chicago, Dolores Sanchez, LaSalle, and Mary (and James) Rue of California; two nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

He was a car detailer for Lambert Jones Automotive in LaSalle.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Church, LaSalle. Visitation will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Burgess Funeral Homes, LaSalle. Burial will be in St. Valentine's Cemetery.
